Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana

First Federal’s associates use “spare time” wisely

ELIZABETHTOWN, March 02, 2009—The First Federal family is continuing a long tradition of support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana with month-long employee events leading up to the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake bowling fundraiser.

Each year, First Federal raises money for the organization by allowing associates to hold fundraising bake sales and soup luncheons at the bank, as well as by giving “donor perks” like preferred parking spaces and Business Casual Dress days to employees who participate. A number of employees also participate in the bowling fundraiser, with each bowler raising money through pledges.

Last March, First Federal associates raised over $2,600 for Big Brothers Big Sisters as a result of these efforts, and we’ve set a goal to raise even more in 2009.

To find out how you and your employer can participate in these events, contact Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana at (502) 587-0494 or visit their website at http://www.bbbsky.org.
